90 Day Plan

Fall 2026 90 Day Plan Overview

This Fall, APS International is developing a school-wide system to implement 3 levels of differentiated project-based instruction at least once a week in all content classes.

Why are we doing this?

A majority of recently arrived multilingual immigrant students have challenges accessing core classroom instruction and curriculum, so they are not successful in their classes, which increases absenteeism, and creates multiple barriers to graduation.

By differentiating our project-based units we will increase access to grade-level critical thinking for all of our students. This will support our students in increasing academic achievement, earning credits, and learning English so they can be successful in school and beyond.

What are we doing to make this happen?

  • Teachers are meeting to look at student data to create three groups for differentiating projects.
  • Teachers are receiving training throughout the semester on how to differentiate for students
  • Teachers are meeting together weekly to refine student groups and experiment with differentiation strategies for ongoing improvement.
  • Teachers are receiving individual feedback and co-planning meetings with a coach to help their growth and improve their teaching.

How will we know this is happening?

Classroom walkthroughs and observations, professional development agendas, unit planning templates, and teacher team meetings will show that all content teachers are using student data to implement three levels of differentiated projects in all classes at least one a week.

What will be the result of this work?

We believe that if all teachers implement differentiated project-based instruction, students will be engaged and motivated to come to school to learn, absenteeism will decrease, and student credit accumulation will increase. This will increase the likelihood that students will graduate and transition to college, career and a healthy life.
